Welcoming 2013 with round fruits, polka dots, and lots of prayers

Welcoming 2013 with round fruits, polka dots, and lots of prayers

Here are pictures of new year traditions. According to elders, 13 round fruits will ensure plenty of good luck, and good health. The tinggling sound of coins in your pocket and the wearing of polka-dotted clothes will ensure abundant financial wealth. There are so many more superstitions that we practice. Nevertheless, whether you have these or not, I believe there are blessings enough for all of us.

2012 was a great year. I can remember all wonderful highlights of my friends but can't remember any of mine. LOL That's how unselfish I was. I am happy because you are happy. That's true.

For 2013, I am thinking of taking this suggestion from a post I read in Twitter. I plan to put an empty bottle in my office and gradually fill it with good things for the whole year. You can do this too.

Yes, I am feeling sentimental today. I swear I could feel a tear is about to drop. :) New year celebrations give me a mix of emotions. I can't help but feel that every year passed is a year away without Nate. It makes me happy too because I have been strong for another year. Year to year, it will get better. It gives me much hope.

My blog is my own little happy place because of you. Thank you for reading my posts and sharing your thoughts. For that, I consider you my friend. I have a feeling and, in fact, I claim that 2013 will even be a better year. It will be a year of continued healing, more adventures, abundant financial wealth, better career, better relationships, and clarity of purpose. I feel the Lord is calling me for a bigger purpose. For that, I will need your encouragement and prayers. Better yet, let's pray for one another.

I thank God for the past and look forward with hope to the new year. I am optimistic as I hold on to His promise that says,

"For I know what I have planned for you... I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope." - Jeremiah 29:1

Happy New Year, friends. I pray that you'll be blessed with a fruitful year ahead. I wish you a fantastic January, lovable February, marvelous March, foolish April, enjoyable May, successful June, wonderful July, independent August, powerful September, tastiest October, beautiful November, and happiest December. May you have a victorious year!
