Deprived of an education...

May 28: Yesterday was Nate's supposed birthday. I decided to skip work and stay for a few hours with him at his resting place. Because I had more hours free, I decided to go back to my alma mater, University of San Carlos, and inquire requirements for returning student. To give you a little background, before Nate came, I had been taking my graduate studies course. I was taking Master of Science in Information Technology. I had just finished taking my comprehensive exams and about to start my thesis. I then learned that I was pregnant.

Need a tailor?

Recently, I have been in search for a good rash guard for a planned trip to Palawan. I have searched everywhere and gone into all summer and sport boutiques. They are either too expensive or not worth the the cost. A family member of mine reminded me of RR Dress Shop. We usually have dresses tailored here. I forgot that they also do swim wear. For only Php160 per piece, I got myself well-made rash guards. I'm so happy, indeed! :)

eavesdropping...

In a visit to Cebu Memorial Park today, I overheard Hannah (Maven's mom) talk to her eldest son Rayne.

"Rayne, say Thank You to Nathan. Because of him, Maven's heart got saved."

That touched the deepest part of my soul. It made me cry.  I'm glad my baby's life and our experiences did not go in vain.

Wedding Bliss and beautiful messages

Last weekend, I feel very blessed to witness a wedding of my friend and fellow colleague. Aside from the breath-taking sight and wonderful ambiance, the ceremony celebrated by Pastor Jo Alfafara was so beautiful that it made me cry. It was very frank and based on his 30 years of marriage. It is a beautiful reminder of the vow that I took and a good reflection of the marriage I live.

My memorable take-aways:

Let it ECHO: We are official!

Earlier this month, Let It ECHO received the much-awaited good news from SEC. After months of going back and forth of signing papers, we are finally officially registered! We are very happy. We couldn't have done it without our good friend lawyer, Atty Maria Carmen Tormis-Abayon. Thank you for the help. Thank you, everyone, for the patience.

Now we can start working with our plans. Let's make the world a better place, one kid at a time.

How to save storage space? Vacuum Packs, a travel essential

Ever wondered how you'd fit all your clothes including those you recently shopped in your travel bag? That was always a problem of mine whenever I am packing my bags on the way back home. What I did before was to unload all my old clothes and have them shipped home via the Balikbayan Box instead. It was quite an inconvenience because it usually takes at most 2 months for the box to arrive. Well... It's not anymore my problem and I'm very happy. Now, I can bring everything home with me and without extra cost. :)

LA Vacation 2013

My most awaited 3-day vacation to LA finally came. When I arrived at LAX, I got the tightest hug from my mom. I can barely breathe but it was most welcome. I love it. How I miss my parents so badly. One time, a piece of eyelash got inside my eye. I asked my mom to blow it. She kissed it instead. My heart melted. I felt like a little girl again.
