Cebu

my sharing that ran out of time..

Yesterday's visit to the cemetery wasn't as hard as I expected it to be. Maybe because 3 years had already passed since Nate left. People still ask what happened every time they pass us by. They still feel bad that such a young and beautiful angel left. I no longer feel bad. I probably got used to it too. Do you remember we had that World Heart Day Celebration at the Oupost last month? I was supposed to be the last sharer of story but we ran out of time.

Need a tailor?

Recently, I have been in search for a good rash guard for a planned trip to Palawan. I have searched everywhere and gone into all summer and sport boutiques. They are either too expensive or not worth the the cost. A family member of mine reminded me of RR Dress Shop. We usually have dresses tailored here. I forgot that they also do swim wear. For only Php160 per piece, I got myself well-made rash guards. I'm so happy, indeed! :)

LMG Pastry's Birthday Cake for Boo

I have been ordering cakes from Lani M. Garcia for several years now. I like ordering from her because she is creative. Her cakes and cupcakes always look really beautiful and each order is always unique. Most especially, I like how her pastries are not overly priced. I also like that her place is very near from where I live. It's only at Lahug and very convenient (for me) for pick-up of my orders.

SweetStuff by Jill

On 2009, I received a Christmas gift from my best girl buddy, Gay, a box of delicious lace cookies. I love it so much that I began to examine the box. The box contains the number and some details. I've been ordering from Sweet Stuff by Jill Christie Uy ever since. I have not met Jill yet but she has been accommodating and replies to my inquiries all the time. She is also a co-Zugbuana sister of my close friend Rosel so I trust her.

Paper Shoes by Civic Duty

After doing our groceries at Banilad Town Center, we went around looking at the shops. I went to playpen while Mc went to wonder at Republiq. This weird-looking but colorful shoes somehow caught his attention. Weird-looking because it looks like crumpled paper. Colorful because it has a bright but matte feel on the colors. It comes in yellow (my favorite), purple, pink (my other favorite hehe), green, sky blue colors among many others. When he came inside and touched it, it indeed felt like paper but also felt not like it because it felt strong. I too was curious as he introduced it to me.

Pedro Calungsod: Thanksgiving Mass Nov. 30

It's 10:22pm and I just got home. It was a very long day indeed. Today, I was part of Catholic history. San Pedro Calungsod was born and raised in Cebu. The saint has come back and made us all proud. The 27-hectare of land was packed with so many people. It was filled not only by Cebu residents but also from all over the world. I would estimate the number of people to reach around 1 million. Yes, that crazy! :) Parking area was not a problem for all who had passes. The parking guide was very helpful.
